Welcome

I would like to welcome you to my blog site. I pray that the words that God lays on my heart will minister to you in your day to day life. I hope this is a place you can come to when you just want to be encouraged or want to be challenged.

My name is Renetta Novak and this is a site filled with my thoughts, musings and whatever God lays on my heart.

For years I have seen people lose hope and walk away from God and from life only because they were running away from people. I have created this blog for people that are tired and just want to know God and who He truly is without all of the religion, laws and chains that weigh men/women down. I love God with all my heart and I think we all should seek Him for who He truly is, not what man says He is.

May God richly bless you as you seek Him.

Who is really poor?

This week's promise: God helps those who help the poor
Who is really poor?

And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. 2 Corinthians 9:8 NLT

Plow Work

Dr. Roy L. Laurin tells of a Christian businessman who was traveling in Korea. In a field by the side of the road was a young man pulling a crude plow while an old man held the handles. The businessman was amused and took a snapshot of the scene. "That is curious! I suppose these people are very poor," he said to the missionary who was interpreter and guide to the party. "Yes," was the quiet reply, "these two men happen to be Christians. When their church was being built, they were so eager to give something toward it, but they had no money. So they decided to sell their one and only ox and give the proceeds to the church. This spring they are pulling the plow themselves." The businessman was silent for some moments. Then he said, "That must have been a real sacrifice." "They did not call it that," said the missionary. "They thought themselves fortunate that they had an ox to sell!"

When the businessman rea ched home, he took the picture to his pastor and told him about it. Then he added, "I want to double my giving to the church and do some plow work. Up until now I have never given God anything that involved real sacrifice."

Crazy Times

I know it has been a while since I wrote but things have been very hectic in our lives of late. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still around and that hopefully I will be back in full force soon. My husband and I have been going to the gym and working out and trying to get our lives little bit healthier and of course there is the normal kids stuff. I am still working toward my book and will publish something to the site soon so that you can read. I hope everyone is doing well and I thank everyone who comes out here periodically to see if I have posted anything. Talk to you soon.
